How We Review Products

We don’t currently publish product reviews on Herb and Lime. This page lays out the standards we’ll follow when we do — so you can hold us to them.

No fake testing

If we haven’t used a product ourselves, we won’t write as if we have. Any comparison or roundup written without hands-on testing will be based on published specifications and clearly labeled as such — never dressed up with invented impressions like “it feels premium” or “cleanup was easy.”

What hands-on reviews include

When we do test a product, we’ll tell you how we used it, for how long, and what we actually cooked or grew with it. We’ll cover what worked, what didn’t, and who it’s probably right for.

Free products and sponsorships

If a company sends us a product or pays for coverage, we’ll disclose it on the page, in plain language, near the top. Free products don’t buy positive coverage — if something isn’t good, we’ll say so or we won’t cover it.
