How we make content

Our recipes are developed from published sources and classic technique references. We don’t present untested ideas as tested ones: every published recipe gets a human review before it goes live — someone reads it start to finish and checks the steps for consistency. Our founder Paul Ha tests selected recipes in his own kitchen, and tested recipes carry their test notes on the page. Images on this site are original illustrations, labeled as such — never presented as photographs of our cooking. Guides about ingredients, techniques, and gardening are written from our own experience plus standard reference sources; when we’re unsure about something, we say so or leave it out.

What AI does and doesn’t do here

We may use AI tools for routine production help — outlining, editing, or drafting metadata. AI never invents testing, tasting notes, ingredient behavior, nutrition numbers, or cultural background. Our standard: every published recipe gets a human review before it goes live — someone reads it start to finish, checks the steps for consistency and confirms any illustration is labeled as an illustration.

Originality

Our recipes and guides are our own work. We don’t scrape, spin, or reword other people’s content. When we adapt a classic dish, we say what we changed and why.

Corrections

Mistakes happen in kitchens and in writing. When a reader or one of us spots an error — a wrong measurement, a bad instruction, a factual slip — we fix the page and note the correction at the bottom when it’s material. You can report errors through the contact page.

Commercial content

We don’t currently publish sponsored content or product reviews. When that changes, commercial relationships will be disclosed on the page and governed by our affiliate disclosure and our product-review standards.
